Appointments at Raymond James Bank and Saint Leo University highlight this week’s Tampa Bay business Movers & Shakers

Raymond James Bank has hired Grace Jackson to serve as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Jackson will oversee all of Raymond James Bank’s operational business elements, risk management and strategic planning functions. Kackson joins Raymond James Bank after senior leadership roles with PNC Bank, Wells Fargo and SunTrust Bank.

Skyway Capital Markets, LLC, a boutique investment banking firm serving middle market clients, has named Andrew Fenton as managing director, head of real estate investment banking. Fenton is focusing on providing equity and debt solutions for individual projects and funds. His real estate, investment banking and institutional investing experience spans more than a decade.

First Citrus Bank announced JoEllen Henderson has joined as chief credit officer. A Florida banking veteran, Henderson is responsible for First Citrus Bank’s credit delivery platform and portfolio risk management systems. She has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. For nearly 10 years, she has held a variety of senior positions within the credit area, most recently as the chief credit officer at American Momentum Bank.


Julia Ruddock has joined Saint Leo University as director of Employer Development & Experiential Learning. Ruddock brings 10 years of experience in the defense, banking, and higher education industries to this new position at Saint Leo. She will work with Tampa Bay area businesses, organizations, and community partners to secure internships and job placements. Most recently, Ruddock served as manager of employer development for the University of Tampa.

Thomas J. Dillow has been named Assistant Headmaster of Shorecrest Preparatory School. Dillow has served Shorecrest as the Head of Upper School since 2012. As Assistant Headmaster, Dillow will support Headmaster Mike Murphy in implementing the school’s 2020 Strategic Plan. He will continue to lead the 9th-12th grade Upper School.

Hillel Academy, the Tampa Bay area’s only accredited Jewish school, has appointed Cosmo Kunzelmann as director of admissions. Kunzelman began her new role before Fall enrollment at Hillel Academy. She was most recently employed in Admissions at Admiral Farragut Academy.


Bataglia, Ross, Dicus & McQuaid, P.A. announced that Jonathan W. Douglas, who recently joined the firm, Rachel L. Drude, and Caitlin C. Szematowicz have all become partners. Douglas will be focusing on Plaintiff’s injury and property damage claims; Drude specializes in Estate Planning, Probate and Elder Law; and Szematowicz practices in the areas of Civil and Commercial Litigation, Appellate Practice, and Employment Law.

Stearns Weaver Miller announced that Janet Goldberg McEnery has joined the firm’s Labor and Employment Law practice group as a shareholder, and Andrew W. McLaughlin has joined that same group as an associate, both in the firm’s Tampa office. Goldberg McEnery has more than 25 years of experience representing private, public and non-profit employers against employment discrimination, minimum wage/overtime, and whistleblower claims, and disputes over employment contracts. Among other services, McLaughlin assists clients in labor and employment matters with a focus on employee benefits.


Obstetrician/Gynecologist Christopher Kraft, MD, has joined BayCare Medical Group. He is accepting new patients at 303 Pinellas St., Suite 230, Clearwater. Kraft earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania State in Kutztown, Pa. After completing his graduate degree in business administration at Long Island University in Brooksville, N.Y., he earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica.

2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares, Inc. has named Micki Thompson president and CEO. Thompson began her career 24 years ago as a volunteer answering crisis calls on the midnight shift.


Dawn Lazo has been named Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa’s new vice president of food & beverage. Lazo began her food and beverage casino career in 1986 as a food server at the Lakeside Inn Casino in Lake Tahoe, Nev. She subsequently worked at Boyd Gaming and Sands Gaming in Las Vegas and spent nine years with Stations Casinos. She also previously worked at the Silverton Lodge & Casino in Las Vegas.
