11:45 a.m. update: A house placed on a trailer that was abandoned for days in the middle of a South Austin street until movers emerged from permit limbo on Monday is making its way down FM 2001 in eastern Hays County at about 5 mph, en route to its new home in Lockhart.

At the start of a nearly weeklong ordeal, AAA-Austin Home Movers removed the house last Friday from its original location on Brackenridge Street in Austin’s Travis Heights neighborhood. In transit, the house got stuck under tree limbs Saturday and was left in the middle of East Live Oak Street by the moving company while permit issues got sorted out.
